Curriculum Development.
In today’s educational landscape, addressing sensitive and critical topics is no longer optional—it’s essential. I specialize in developing comprehensive, evidence-based curricula that tackle the most pressing challenges facing young people today: Mental Health, Sexual Exploitation Prevention, and Violence Prevention.
One of the biggest hurdles for educators is "fitting it all in." I solve this by ensuring every lesson I design is directly tied to educational curricular connections. I don't just provide "add-on" content; I create resources that fulfill specific learning outcomes.
Mental Health Literacy
This curriculum focuses on equipping students with the foundational tools to understand, manage, and advocate for their own psychological well-being. Rather than treating mental health as a crisis-only topic, the lessons emphasize proactive strategies such as emotional regulation, stress management, and the biological basis of mental health. By fostering an environment of empathy and reducing social stigma, the material helps students recognize when to seek help and how to support their peers, ultimately building a resilient school culture where emotional health is prioritized alongside academic success.
Sexual Exploitation Prevention
Designed with a trauma-informed lens, this curriculum provides age-appropriate education to help youth navigate the complexities of personal boundaries and digital safety. The content empowers students to identify the grooming process, recognize the red flags of exploitation—both online and in-person—and understand the importance of consent and bodily autonomy. By bridging these sensitive topics with media literacy and social-emotional learning standards, the program provides a protective layer of knowledge that transforms vulnerable students into informed, self-advocated individuals.
Gender-Based Violence Prevention
This curriculum addresses the root causes of aggression and conflict by promoting a culture of respect, inclusion, and non-violent communication. Students explore the dynamics of power, the impact of bullying, and the importance of healthy relationship structures across various contexts. By integrating these lessons into civics and social studies frameworks, the curriculum moves beyond simple "conflict resolution" to teach students how to be active bystanders and community leaders, ensuring that the school environment remains a safe, collaborative space for all learners.
